We have a very wide and varied range of stalls at the markets ranging fresh local fruit and vegetables to beautifully created handmade arts and crafts. Our location is in the central part of Johns River and the perfectly flat recreation oval makes walking around the markets very easy and pleasurable. We also cater for the little ones with a new playground, which is covered to protect them from exposure to the sun. Our village has now been bypassed with minimal traffic passing through, which adds that extra level of safety for children playing in the playground. From the markets perspective, there is an added aire of peace and quite so you can relax whilst shopping or enjoying our world famous Devonshire teas and coffees.

Our markets are called the 'friendly markets' (we hear this from our stallholders and visitors). We don't charge high market rents for stallholder sites and our food/refreshments are reasonably priced. art
    Two performances -
    20/06/2013 8pm & 21/06/2013 1pm

A hit in the West End, Broadway and all around the world, Art asks the questions: Are you who you think you are? Or are you who your friends think you are?
Serge has bought a modern painting for a huge sum of money. His best friend, Marc, hates it. Marc can't believe that any friend of his could possibly want such a thing. Enter Yvan - the mutual friend, the go-between, the meat in the sandwich.
When friends do something unexpected, it can make you wonder how you ever became friends in the first place.

'A remarkably wise, witty and intelligent comedy' The Times, London. 'It is a joy to watch these three gifted actors at full stretch as they ratchet up the stakes.' The Mercury.

    Event Image

If you are interested in becoming a stallholder at the markets, please click here to send us an email about yourself and what you would like to promote on your stall. We will come back to you within 48 hours with details on the costs and requirements for becoming a stall holder. We are always looking for new stallholders.

    Two sessions, 2pm and 8pm

Noel Coward and Gertrude Lawrence formed a legendary on and off stage partnership. They looked rich, they were elegant, they sang, they danced; they made jokes through clenched cigarette holders. They were impeccable.

Noel and Gertie is an entertainment crafted from diaries and letters between Coward and Lawrence and features songs, sketches and scenes from his best loved works, reminding us that Coward's talent wasn't simply to amuse, but also to hold a mirror up to the fraility of the human condition.

If you love musical theatre, celebrity, gossip, glamour, the plays of Noel Coward; if you love shows like Downton Abbey, The Great Gatsby, Pride and Prejudice, or Poirot then you'll love Noel and Gertie - a glittering evening of delight, wit, song and dance.
