2010 Seniors Week Small Grants Program
In an effort to increase community participation in Seniors Week 2010 activities, Greater Taree City Council has announced a new Small Grants Program aimed at local seniors and community groups.
The Manning Valley well represented at Food & Wine Showcase
The Manning Valley was well represented together with the rest of the Mid North Coast at the recent Food and Wine Showcase at State Parliament House, Macquarie Street, Sydney. The event was held on Monday 19 October and was a huge success, with many regular attendees announcing it was the best of the regional showcases to date.
Baby Let's Read at Hallidays Point Library
Greater Taree City Libraries are excited to announce that ‘Baby Let’s Read’, an early literacy program for parents and carers and their babies from 0 – 12 months old, will be starting at Halliday’s Point Library+ on Wednesday 11 November 2009.

Community meeting regarding new load limits on Marlee and Duffs Bridge
Council invites all residents affected by the new load limits that are about to be placed on Duffs and Marlee Bridges to attend a community meeting at Marlee Hall on Thursday 15th October at 6pm.
Load limits to be placed on Marlee and Duffs Bridges
For safety reasons, Greater Taree City Council has been forced to place load limits on the heritage-listed Marlee and Duffs Bridges on Bulga Road, causing a 29km deviation for overweight vehicles.
It's a rap prize presentation
Ryan O’Gorman, Harry Reece and Seamus Dempsey from St Joseph’s Primary School in Taree have written the winning rap song in the Sticky Fingers rap song competition.
