Manning Regional Art Gallery

The Manning Regional Art Gallery provides a range of cultural and artistic experiences to residents of Greater Taree and visitors to the area.
The GALLERY SHOP stocks a range of art books, greeting cards, handmade bags, kids clothes, jewellery, unusual gifts and local craft. You'll find something different at the Gallery Shop for the person who has everything!

Cultural Programs

The Gallery is committed to curating more than 12 exhibitions each year and is responsible for providing access to touring exhibitions otherwise unavailable to residents of the Manning and surrounds.

Education Programs

A number of education programs are developed by the Gallery each year to involve community participation with the aim of increasing public access to, and understanding of, art.

ART CENTRAL

Bring the kids along on Saturday mornings for a fun and productive time making art!
From 10.30 to noon, there is a different art form each week, from drawing, ceramics, painting, printmaking to weaving and cartooning.
Each session is $15 and includes all materials.
No need to book, just turn up.
Suitable for 6 to 12 years.
Please note: Art Central is not held during school holidays

Aboriginal Traditional Art

In 2004 the Manning Regional Art Gallery began the Aboriginal Traditional Art Revival project, which includes the research and identification of appropriate local Indigenous artefacts for collection, as well as an oral and photographic history research of over 20 local Elders.

Friends of the Gallery

The Gallery is supported by Friends of the Manning Regional Art Gallery, a volunteer group of supporters who provide a link between the Gallery and the community. Their activities raise the profile of visual arts in the Manning Valley.

PAT LAND - Co-ordinates
Pat seeks unusual approaches to the realisation of ideas. In this exhibition she explores the relationship between inner and outer landscapes and by following a series of co-ordinates she maps a personal journey using unconventional materials and methods.

ALEX WELTLINGER
Photographer Alex concocts amazing scenes of fantasy and drama in his large scale photographs

PRUE SAILER - Wild Visions: An artistic investigation into animal vision
Wild Visions is an exhibition for Prue's PhD research and focuses on how the world might appear through the eyes of birds, monkeys, fish and lizards.
