While background information is provided, only links to current grant opportunities and resources, facilitated by Council, will be available on this page. For more information about grants, submission writing and much more visit the Community Builders NSW.

Annual Donations Program

The Greater Taree City Council Donations Policy aims to encourage the development of community self-help and to recognise the provision of community services made by locally based not-for-profit groups and organisations.

Applications are now open and need to reach Council by 31 May 2013. Application forms and guidelines are available to download.

These grants are called for annually during March/April for consideration as part of the following year's budget. Funds are limited and priorities will be reviewed annually, taking into account such variations as rises and falls in funding from other sources.

Enquiries can be made by contacting Carole Isaacs on (02) 6592 5399 or via email.

Please Note: Annual Donations is different to Event Sponsorship. To find out more about event sponsorship please click here.

Get that Grant! Resource

Greater Taree City Council held a number of Get that Grant! workshops around the area during the month of October 2011. The workshop visited three locations including Taree, Johns River and Bobin.

From these workshops a resource was developed by GTCC to provide community groups and organisations with information on how to develop a tender kit for your organisation, how to best structure a project idea, methods of gathering evidence for projects, how to develop clear project outcomes and general tips and tricks of grant writing.

To download the Get That Grant! resource please click here.

Council also maintains a Get that Grant Email Bulletin. The bulletin showcases any upcoming grants that may be suitable for a range or organisations and also grant writing tips, tricks or links to grant writing websites. Any information from other grant writers out there would also welcome. Perhaps if you have had some useful feedback from a recent grant you have written that you would like to share or you may be seeking a partnership opportunity for a particular project that you are applying for.

If you would like further support on grant writing or would like to join the Get that Grant Email Bulletin, please contact Carole Isaacs - Community Development Officer
