Council Properties

Greater Taree City Libraries has service points at five locations in the Manning Valley.

There are 17 Council managed cemeteries.

The Harrington Function Centre is available for social functions. community activities, conferences and seminars. It has a fully equipped commerical kitchen and can accommodate some 300 people with the room capable of being divided into two spaces. Contact Harrington Library+ on 6556 1652 for bookings.

Manning Aquatic Leisure Centre is located on Manning River Drive Taree. Facilities include indoor and outdoor pools and a fitness centre.

The Manning Entertainment Centre is a 500 seat theatre with the capacity to stage local, national and international productions.

Manning Regional Art Gallery holds regular exhibitions of local artists as well as touring exhibitions from around Australia.

Ormbsy House is the regular home of Manning Valley Senior Citizens Association and the Tareebit RSL Day Club. Ormsby House is available for hire. Contact Council's Customer Services Centre.

Taree Regional Airport is located on Lansdowne Road Cundletown. The terminal can be contacted on 02 6553 9863. Flights to Taree are with Regional Express (Rex). Free parking is available.

The Visitor Information Centre is situated on Manning River Drive at the northern approach to Taree.
It is an Accredited Visitor Information Centre offering a full range of visitor information services including maps and local information on accommodation and things to see and do in the Manning Valley

It has a theatrette that may be hired. For bookings please call 6592 5444.

The Wingham Court House is home to Manning Valley Neighbourhood Services Inc but is also used regularly by a number of other community groups via hire of the Courtroom. Hire of this room includes use of the kitchen and amenities of the Courthouse Community Centre. For bookings contact Wingham Library+ on 6553 4555.

The Wingham Memorial Town Hall was opened in 1923 as a memorial to the fallen in the First World War. It was the home of the Wingham Municipal Council prior to the council amalgamations in 1981.

The Hall can be hired for weddings, social gatherings and other activities. Contact Wingham Library+ for bookings on 6553 4555.
