Engineering Development Specifications

Aus-Spec was developed though the Institute of Public Works Engineers (IPWEA) as a national standard contract specificiation document for quality control of design and construction for engineering works, with alterations to suit different local government areas.

There are a number of design and construction specifications and design checklists, covering all the activities required for civil engineering design and construction, to meet the Greater Taree City Council standards.

GTCC & Aus-Spec

Greater Taree City Council AUS-SPEC has been adopted by Greater Taree City Council as specifications for the minimum requirements for design and construction of engineering works within the Greater Taree City Council Local Government Area. Qualified practitioners are to ensure that the required quality controls are in place and that minimum Council standards are maintained and shall use these documents.

The local version of AUS-SPEC is updated periodically. Qualified practitioners are reminded that the onus is on them to ensure they are using the most up to date edition of Greater Taree City Council AUS-SPEC.

Greater Taree City Council AUS-SPEC Edition 2 is the current edition adopted by Council. This edition is available in the following formats.
