Australian Light Aircraft Championships
Practice day will be on Thursday the 8th and the competitions are on 9,10 May.
The competition consists of formation flying, streamer cutting, spot landing and forced landing competitions.
Spectators welcome.
On the Saturday evening of the 10th there will be a presentation dinner at the Taree and Wingham Race Club Bushland Racecourse, hosted by the BRAC. Every member is welcome to attend. Bookings can be made with the Aero Club on 6553 9301.

Exhibition of Fine Art by Marjorie Prophet
This exhibition is a selection of 'still life', beach scenes, flowers, birds and of course 'Fisherman Joe' her 1959 'Archibald'.
Delicate Waratahs, a sea of red with a sprinkle of black and white, are the centre of a colourful painting, ‘Australian Wild Flowers’, that Marjorie has chosen as a feature for the exhibition. But the popular artist will show an array of her work: a mystery tree trunk, seagulls in full flight, the Manning Valley’s tranquil country side north of Wingham, and – of course – portraits.

Quota Fund Raiser - Biggest Morning Tea
The Quota Club of Taree will help the Cancer Council with its fundraising and also help spread the cancer message by hosting a Biggest Morning Tea. Residents from the area are invited to pop in and enjoy a delicious array of cakes and slices made by Quotarians, along with a cuppa, for a gold coin donation. Greater Taree City Library will provide a story time for children, so that mums and dads can be free to enjoy the morning tea.

'Heart and Soul' Concert
Presented by Killabakh Christian Fellowship.
Hear some very talented performers for just a gold coin donation with all monies raised donated to local charities. Robert Hicks, Pam Phillips, Dawn Walton, Robyn Rankin, Trevor Cooper, Douglas Stewart, Roderick Williams, George Hoad and PJ Willis will all perform. Patricia Wolfenden, Barbara Singh and Pauline Byrne will form a trio, and Joan Saxby and Rev Darrell McKeough can be heard on piano. Killabakh's own newly formed choir will also perform.
Members of the audience are asked to bring a plate of goodies to share for afternoon tea at the end of the concert - at around 4.30pm

The event kicks off at 2.30pm with the fireworks at around 7pm.
The line-up of activities includes: food stalls, with a variety of foods and beverages to tempt everybody's tastes (BYO alcohol if required), jumping castles, tractor-hay rides, the very entertaining Troppo Bob and Circus Troppo and the thrilling Wherrol Flat Freestylers. A highlight this year will be the performance of popular local band The Workshop. Grand Finale is of course the fireworks display.
Gate prices: Family $15, or $5 per person.
Pull up a bale of hay or bring your chair or blanket and sit around the camp fire and enjoy the atmosphere.

Vanguards visit to mark anniversary
A Tour celebrating the 60th anniversary of the Standard Vanguard will pass through Taree and Wingham on Sunday.
Various models of the Vanguard, along with many different types of Triumphs, will arrive in the Manning Valley on the last day of their tour. The tour will stop for morning tea at Lake Cathie around 10.30am - 11.30am and then pass through the outskirts of Taree via Bushland Drive to Wingham for lunch in Central Park at around 12.30pm to 1.30pm.
