2008 Tourism Photographic Competition

And the winners are.....
Congratulations to the winners in the 2008 Tourism Photograph Competition.The competiton was staged between November 2007 to January 2008 with images displayed in an exhibition at the Manning Regional Art Gallery throughout the months of February and early March.

The Tourism Photograph Competition is conducted by the Manning Valley Tourism Board biannually and is part of the tourism ambassador campaign to raise local resident's awareness of the value and importance of tourism given that over 40% of visitors to the Manning Valley stay with friends and relatives.

Overall winner of the 2008 Competition was Scott Calvin of Taree with his image "Flying Towards Wingham" highlighting paragliding from Khatabundah to Wingham.

The People's Choice Award was won by Marcus Dixon from Old Bar with his image of "Oxley Island Bridge on Sunset with a Girl".A total of 280 people voted in the People's Choice Award.

The other 10 winners included:

Michael Haggar "Paragliding over Crowdy Lighthouse"

Overall Winner
Congratulations to Scott Calvin of Taree who took out the overall prize, winning a $1000 Taree Camera House voucher and a $200 cheque prize with his image "Flying Towards Wingham".

People's Choice Award
Marcus Dixon of Old Bar received the highest number of votes in the People's Choice Award. Congratulations to Marcus who won a $500 Taree Camera House voucher.
